Microsoft Loop |
Microsoft Loop is a collaborative workspace designed to bring together teams, content, and tasks across various tools and devices. With Loop, you can create and share dynamic content that stays in sync across all your applications, enhancing team collaboration and productivity.

Exchange Online |
You can access your emails, calendar and contacts through the Outlook desktop application, via a web browser (Outlook Web Access) and your mobile device. NHSmail Enhanced Service organisations will be automatically assigned 50GB of storage, while NHSmail Standard Service organisations will be assigned 4GB. Microsoft Teams |
This application will enable you and your colleagues to send instant messages, make internal calls, share, edit and collaborate on files and documents all in one central, secure location.

OneDrive for Business |
With OneDrive for Business, you can upload, store and access work files from multiple devices. This secure cloud service connects you to all your files, so you can create and collaborate from anywhere, at any time. NHSmail Standard Service users will be allocated 2GB and NHSmail Enhanced Service users will be allocated 1TB.

SharePoint |
Use SharePoint as a unified collaboration space for content, documents and tasks. Create a site and share files with a variety of audiences across NHSmail. Use SharePoint to discover, follow and search for specific files and sites though modern and visual layouts. NHSmail Enhanced Service users will be allocated 10GB and NHSmail Standard Service users will be allocated 2GB.

Exchange Online Archiving |
Online Archiving is a solution that enables you to store and manage older or legacy emails outside of your primary mailbox – freeing up quota space and improving Outlook performance. Following the NHSmail refresh, you will see an additional mailbox in the left-hand side panel of Outlook (Outlook desktop application or Outlook on the Web). This will follow a similar naming convention to your primary account with the prefix ‘Online Archive’ used in the Outlook desktop client and ‘In-Place Archive’ used in Outlook on the Web, followed by your nhs.net account email address.
100GB of online archiving storage space is provided for all users. There is an option to configure a policy that will automatically move emails of a certain age into the online archive mailbox or this can be managed manually. Microsoft Office Online |
You will have access to use the new online versions of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote. Create, share and collaborate using the Office suite on your browser across all device types.

Office Delve |
Delve is a web-based collaboration tool, that maps connections between people, interactions and content. It will help you find and discover information relevant to you across the suite of MO365 applications and broader NHS network. Create and customise your profile to show the files you’ve recently worked on, as well as your favourites. Browse your network by searching for fellow medical professionals based on a range of skills or demographics.

Microsoft Planner |
With Planner you’ll be able to easily create, assign and manage project tasks. Use the Kanban view to organise your team’s workload and track the progress of key activities. Use buckets, labels and comments to personalise your dashboard for collaboration and planning.

Power BI is a tool that will allow you to analyse data through reports and dashboards, supporting with faster and informed decisions and presenting information in ways that makes most sense to you and your team.

Security group for your organisation |
Organisations can create a security group for SharePoint, Teams sites and Outlook calendar sharing.
The naming convention for the new security group will be allusers.ods (where .ods will reflect your organisation’s ODS code). This group will encompass all of your organisation’s users and will dynamically update as users join or leave your organisation. To request this security user group, please access Helpdesk Self Service (HSS) and use the Security Group request form. |
Teams Phone |
The NHSmail Teams Phone System is a shared tenant telephony capability, supporting external calling to numbers directly from a user’s Teams client using their nhs.net address.

NHSmail Intune Service |
NHSmail Intune is a corporate mobile device management (MDM) service that is integrated with existing NHSmail capabilities and natively supports the multi-organisational nature of NHSmail. NHSmail Intune provides centralised device management capability and allows organisations to maintain a good degree of oversight and local autonomy over their Android, iOS/iPadOS, Windows 10/11 and HoloLens 2 devices using Role Based Access Controls (RBAC).
NHSmail Intune’s configuration provides a core set of centrally managed security postures, settings, and applications for easy policy assignment, however organisations can also customise their own groups, policies, profiles, and apps alongside the centrally managed settings by using custom RBAC permissions. Please note, to use intune all organisations must onboard to Intune services via the HSS process, while Standard Service Users will also require an Enterprise Mobility and Security top-up licence. D365 Remote Assist |
Mixed Reality (MR) blends the digital and physical world by overlaying 3D digital objects onto the physical world. Using Head-Mounted Devices (HMDs), people can interact with 3D digital objects as if they physically exist in front of them.
Unlike Virtual Reality (VR) where the wearer is fully immersed in a virtual environment removed from the physical world, or Augmented Reality, where a digital object or character is inserted into the person’s surroundings captured through a camera, a Mixed Reality device overlays digital objects to the user’s surrounding physical environment without interrupting their vision.
