Issue Description: Users with an active Microsoft Teams license may be unable to sign in to Microsoft Teams.

Final Update: 28/08/2026 09:04:00 AM – Microsoft has initiated the reversion of the offending authorisation configuration change and is monitoring the service to ensure it completes successfully. They will provide a resolution timeline once available.

Scope of impact: Impact may occur for some users with an active Microsoft Teams license who are attempting to sign in to Microsoft Teams. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.

Root cause: A recent authorisation configuration change intended to block users without active licenses inadvertently blocked some users with active Microsoft Teams licenses, resulting in impact.
