User Policy Returning 500 Internal Server Error

Issue description

We are aware of an issue with user policy updates causing the following error to appear:

“Request failed: Unable to update the User Policy.. The remote server returned an error. (500) Internal Server Error.”

This error appears when admins attempt to replace an existing expired subscription with a new subscription of the same license type.

Latest updates and guidance:

We request admins open the user policy and remove the expired subscription. Save this change and reopen the user policy. Select the new subscription and save again.

Please raise a Service Request with the Helpdesk (helpdesk@nhs.net) if you experience any further issues. The user policy name and change you’d like to make should be provided.
