Removing User Permissions via the Permissions Tab in Portal May Cause Discrepancies – PRB0211460

Issue description

We are aware of an issue causing permission discrepancies when a Local Administrator removes a Shared Mailbox (SMB) from a user’s permission in Portal. Although the SMB is no longer present under the permissions tab in Portal for the user, the user may still appear as a member in the SMB detail page.

If the user is stated as a member under the SMB in Portal, they still have the required permissions in Exchange to access the account.

Latest updates and guidance:

This is being investigated under problem record PRB0211460.

We request LAs check the membership settings for SMBs after changes are made to user’s permissions in Portal. If a user is still present as a member under the SMB in Portal, LAs should remove them and raise a Service Request with the helpdesk (helpdesk@nhs.net) if they experience any issues.
