Dear Primary / Local Administrator,
Important update: NHSmail announcement on availability of Teams dial-in licences
The NHSmail team is pleased to announce that Teams Audio Conferencing licences for dial-in will now be available ‘as standard’ to NHSmail organisations in England, until April 2023.
In a change to previous guidance, an agreement struck between NHS Digital and Microsoft will mean Local Administrators can assign licences at no additional cost to your organisation. The new licences will provide a dial-in option for meetings and conference calls, should attendees wish to join by telephone.
From Wednesday 7 October 2020, Local Administrators will be able to manage and assign dial-in ‘Add-On’ licences to users via the NHSmail Portal, listed in the User Policy Management section.
Admins will need to assign licenses to users requiring the dial-in option for their meetings, including users who previously had a licence centrally funded by NHSmail as part of the initial rollout of Microsoft Teams.
Users who do not have an Audio Conferencing licence assigned via a User Policy in the Portal will lose the ‘dial-in’ capability for meetings after 31 October 2020.
Please visit our updated Guidance for Teams dial-in page on the support site for further details and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
