Application Access Blocked – Acceptable Use Policy

Issue Description

NHSmail users who have not accepted the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) in the NHSmail Portal will be blocked from accessing all Microsoft 365 applications and non-Microsoft 365 applications which are registered against Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) in the NHSmail shared tenant.

Upon attempting access, users will see the following expected error message:

Guidance

To gain access to the application, users will need to accept the AUP in the NHSmail Portal. More information can be found in the Acceptable Use Policy article.

Once the AUP has been accepted, it could take approximately 2 hours for account synchronisation activities to complete and thus for the acceptance status to be updated on the system.

If you are still unable to access these applications after 2 hours of accepting the AUP then please raise a request with the NHSmail Helpdesk for further investigation.
