NHSmail Reference: INC47613350
Microsoft Reference: TM962326
Issue Status: RESOLVED
Issue Description: Some users may see that adaptive card messages are incorrectly rendering on multiple lines in Microsoft Teams.
More info: If you’re using RichTextBlock in your adaptive cards with TextRuns that have their selectAction property set, unwanted line breaks show up. Your card, however, remains fully functional.
Final Update: 13/02/2025 08:35:00 AM – Microsoft have discovered that the adaptive action definition weren’t incorrect. Instead, a code change meant to improve rendering logic prevented the adaptive card messages from rendering correctly, resulting in impact. They’ve deployed the fixed build of Microsoft Teams to the affected environment and users should update Microsoft Teams to the latest version to remediate impact.
Scope of impact: This issue can potentially affect any user that’s viewing adaptive card messages in any Microsoft Teams connection method.
Root cause: The library used by Microsoft Teams to pull the adaptive card messages has an incorrect action definition, resulting in impact.
Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their code change validation procedure so they can detect and remediate similar code issues prior to deployment and prevent similar issues from reoccurring.
