Issue Description: Some users’ searches may fail and provide no results in the Outlook desktop client and Outlook on the web.

Final Update: 11/08/2024 17:48:00 PM – Microsoft have determined that service memory issues have caused the infrastructure responsible for facilitating core service search, to go into a unresponsive state. They have manually restarted this infrastructure which has remediated impact.

Scope of impact: Some users attempting to perform searches in the Outlook desktop client and Outlook on the web may be impacted.

Root cause: A service memory issue caused the infrastructure responsible for facilitating core service search to go into a unresponsive state.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing data and trends on the affected systems to help prevent this issue from happening again.
