Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users may be unable to print or export files to PDF through Excel for the web.

More info: Users that encounter this problem receive the error, “Something went wrong, and we can’t print your workbook.”

While Microsoft are focused on remediation, users that have access to the Excel desktop app can use this bypass the problem.

Final Update: 23/09/2024 09:19:00 AM – Microsoft have completed the reversion process and validated that impact is no longer occurring after a period of monitoring.

Scope of impact : This issue may prevent any user from printing workbooks or printing to PDF from Excel for the web.

Root cause: A recent standard update to Windows has introduced an impacting code issue which is preventing users from printing or exporting files to PDF through Excel for the web.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their recent standard service update procedures to help prevent similar impact from happening again.
