Information – Audio Conferencing Notifications

02/02/2024 12:30:00 AM

Please note, we are aware that a number of users have received a notification to confirm that ‘Audio Conferencing for Microsoft Teams has been turned off’.

We are investigating to understand the trigger which caused these notifications to be sent. Further details will be shared as soon as we have a clear picture on the legitimacy of these messages.

Current Update: 02/02/2024 18:00:00 PM – Engineers investigating the root cause of the notifications being sent have confirmed that they were sent legitimately. However, they were issued to users who were in a User Policy where Audio Conferencing was applied as an add-on but had not been fully synced to the tenant. Work is scheduled for this evening to force a reconciliation and re-enable Audio Conferencing for all users who are a member of a policy which includes this add-on licence.

PLEASE NOTE: It is expected that impacted users who are re-enabled for Audio Conferencing this evening will receive a notification stating ‘Audio Conferencing for Microsoft Teams has been turned on‘.

We appreciate your patience whilst we investigated and remediated this issue.
