The NHSmail team will be carrying out a scheduled upgrade to the NHSmail sign in page on Saturday 19th November 2022 between 06:00 and 10:00.
During this upgrade window, there will be a short period when users may have issues accessing Portal services and web-based Office 365 applications (for example, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive). Users will have access to their email using their desktop applications (Microsoft Outlook), however they may face issues if they are prompted to re-enter their username and password.
If a user is not able to sign in, we advise they try again by refreshing the browser window or restarting the desktop application and re-entering their username and password.
This upgrade will introduce the NHS Care Identity (Smartcard) sign in option as shown below. For further information about this feature, please see NHS Care Identity sign in guidance.
