Issue Description : Some users may have been experiencing unexpected crashes in calls or meetings in the Microsoft Teams desktop client.

More info : While Microsoft focus on remediation, users may have been able to experience relief by updating their Microsoft Teams desktop client to the latest version. As an additional workaround, users may be able to utilize the Microsoft Teams web version to execute calls or meetings without unexpected crashes.

Scope of impact : Your organization was affected by this event, and some users attempting to make calls or join meetings in Microsoft Teams may be impacted.

Final Update : 26/10/2022 08:35:00 AM – After extensively monitoring the affected environment, Microsoft has confirmed that impact is not reccuring, the underlying issue is resolved.

Root cause : A portion of infrastructure responsible for hosting Microsoft Teams desktop client calls and meetings was experiencing performance issues.

Next Steps : Microsoft is further investigating the previous collected crash dump logs to gain an understanding of how impact occurred, and to prevent similar issues in the future.
