Description: We are aware of an issue where end users trying to create a new SharePoint site, having selected the appropriate template to use, are greeted with the error message “this template is no longer in use”. Our investigation shows that all SharePoint site templates in the NHSmail tenant have been unexpectedly removed; this is not something we have direct control over and so an urgent ticket has been raised with Microsoft to investigate and resolve.

Updates will be provided as soon as more detail becomes available.

Final Update: 03/07/2023 14:14:00 PM – Microsoft has stated this to be resolved. SharePoint site templates are prebuilt definitions designed around the specific business requirements. These templates can be used to create your personalized site. You can also build custom site templates to package the site features and customizations to provide site consistency across the organization.
