Anti-spoofing – phase two

14/05/2019 – We have implemented the second phase of anti-spoofing controls, redirecting spoofed emails sent from the Health and Social Care Network (HSCN) to users’ junk mailboxes.

All spoofed emails from the HSCN and the internet will go direct to the ‘Junk E-Mail’ folder within mailboxes.

To make sure that you don’t miss any emails that still need to be actioned, please regularly check the ‘Junk E-Mail’ folder within your mailbox, including any shared mailboxes that you manage.

Note: All spoofed emails (internet or HSCN generated) will be blocked from 9 July 2019, this means that spoofed emails will no longer be received by users.

Further information is available on the within the Anti Spoofing Controls guide, the earlier Anti Spoofing announcement, or by contacting the Local Administrator within your organisation.

If you need additional help, the NHSmail helpdesk is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 0333 200 1133 or helpdesk@nhs.net
