Microsoft Viva learning is a central hub for learning in Teams where NHSmail users will be able to share, recommend and learn from multiple content libraries. Aiming to foster a culture of continuous learning and development, Viva Learning has been introduced to NHS to make educational resources easily accessible across all NHS organisations.

Benefits

Viva Learning brings together a wide range of learning content allowing NHSmail users to access all relevant training materials easily from a single platform: Microsoft Teams. Its main benefits for NHS organisations are:

Integration with Microsoft Teams: Making it easy for NHSmail users to discover, share, and engage with training materials directly within the app. This integration promotes a seamless learning experience without the need to switch between different applications.
Efficiency and Productivity: With Viva Learning embedded in Microsoft Teams, NHSmail users can access training without disrupting their day-to-day workflow, making it easier to fit learning into their busy schedules.

Content Libraries

Microsoft Viva learning has been initially introduced in NHSmail with four learning content libraries, offering a wide range of training materials suitable for all users’ roles across NHS organisations.

Content Library	Description
NHSmail Academy	Tailored NHSmail training materials across Microsoft 365 apps and services, NHSmail Portal and Security aiming to enhance user engagement with the platform and overall digital capability. This training programme highlights the platform’s capabilities and introduces a centralised hub to position it as the next generation of training platform for NHS staff.
LinkedIn	Includes various topics such as soft skills, leadership, and introductory courses on different professional subjects.
Microsoft Learn	Focusing on role-based learning, helping individuals gain certifications and skills relevant to their job functions; Microsoft learn offers a wide range of courses and learning paths covering Microsoft technologies and services.
Microsoft 365 Training	Aims to improve productivity and collaboration by offering tips, tricks and best practices for using Microsoft apps and services, Microsoft 365 Training offers modules and resources on how to use Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Word Excel, PowerPoint and OneDrive.
