Issue Description: Some users may be unable to view location and subject details for other users’ Exchange Online calendar items.

More info: Affected users may only be able to view the free/busy availability of other users’ Exchange Online calendars despite having been configured to also view location and subject details for calendar items.

Current Update: 22/07/2026 08:43:00 AM – Microsoft has edited the Title, User impact, More info, and Scope of impact sections of this communication to align with their current understanding of the affected scenario. After further investigation, they has identified that the affected users’ mailboxes were recently migrated to alternate portions of storage infrastructure by our service as an automatic load balancing effort. When the migration took place, the permissions that allow users to view location and subject details for other users’ calendars weren’t properly copied over. They believe this is caused by the aforementioned service change and are developing a code fix designed to correct this issue.

Scope of impact: Some users attempting to view Exchange Online calendar items for users’ calendars that they’re configured to have access to may be impacted. This information may be updated as our investigation continues.
