Issue Status: ONGOING
Issue Description: Some users may be unable to access apps on newly enrolled devices in Microsoft Intune.
More info: This issue affects new device enrollments using Enrollment Time Grouping (ETG) in Microsoft Intune. Affected devices aren’t being added to the appropriate group after enrollment, preventing assigned apps from being installed.
Current Update: 11/08/2026 09:13:00 AM – Microsoft is continuing to deploy and validate their fix across affected environments. While deployment has completed successfully in most environments, a small number require an additional deployment and validation cycle, which is taking longer than initially anticipated. They are closely monitoring progress and anticipate that the fix will be fully deployed, and the issue resolved, by their next scheduled update.
Scope of impact: Some users enrolling new devices with ETG in Microsoft Intune may be impacted.
Root cause: A code issue is preventing a background process from applying group assignments to newly enrolled devices, which is resulting in impact.
