Description: We are aware of an issue resulting in Intune administrators being asked to authenticate via MFA approximately every hour.
Current Update: 16/05/2026 16:14:00 – The root cause of this issue is believed to be related to a change made by Microsoft in the Windows 365 function on the backend. This change has resulted in the unexpected consequence of changing one of our many conditional access policies causing administrators to have to authenticate to retain access to Intune.
Whilst we await a response from Microsoft, we have raised a change to remove the relevant policy until a permanent fix has been identified.
In terms of work arounds, whilst this issue is an inconvenience, it does not prevent access to Intune or the management of devices via the Intune Portal. If you are impacted, please sign out and back in, or when prompted, re-authenticate via MFA again.
