Issue Description: Some users may see stale data for Copilot Usage and Copilot Chat reports in Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Final Update: 24/07/2026 09:12:00 AM – Following their service traffic optimisations and the utilisation of healthy portions of service infrastructure, Microsoft’s internal service telemetry has verified that the impact has been remediated. CopilotUsage and CopilotChat report data in Microsoft 365 Copilot is now up to date.

Scope of impact: Some users who are attempting to view Copilot Usage and Copilot chat reports may be impacted.

Root cause: An influx of service traffic caused a subset of infrastructure responsible for populating up to date Copilot Usage and Copilot Chat reports to drop below their manageable service performance thresholds. While affected, the infrastructure wasn’t able to efficiently process service requests, resulting in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft is further analysing the affected subset of service infrastructure and the offending spike of service traffic to help them prevent similar problems in the future.
