Issue Description: Users were shown the Microsoft Planner app in Outlook and Office hubs.

Final Update: 17/07/2026 09:25:00 AM – Microsoft has validated that fully reverting the offending app deployment has successfully remediated impact for this issue.

Scope of impact: Your organisation was impacted by this event, and any user viewing the apps in their Outlook and Office hubs was affected.

Root cause: While deploying the Microsoft Planner app to Microsoft’s testing environment, it was unintentionally made available to the affected users despite the feature not being released, which resulted in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft is reviewing their app deployment validation and implementation processes to improve how they detect unintentional app release issues and prevent similar service events from occurring in the future.
