Issue Description: Some users may experience intermittent access issues in OneDrive for Business.

More Info: Affected admins and users may also be unable to upload photos, and they may inadvertently see initials or a people icon instead of the user’s profile photo.

Current Update 29/01/2025 10:10:00 AM – Microsoft have determined that an unexpected increase in traffic caused a section of infrastructure, that facilitates access to OneDrive for Business, to perform below acceptable performance thresholds and cause impact. They’re redirecting traffic to alternate infrastructure in an attempt to provide immediate relief. In addition, they’re developing and validating a fix, which they anticipate will succeed in remediating the impact.

Scope of impact: : Impact is specific to any admin or user located or served by the affected infrastructure may be impacted.

Root cause: An unexpected increase in traffic caused a section of infrastructure, that facilitates access to OneDrive for Business, to perform below acceptable performance thresholds and cause impact.
