Issue Status: ONGOING

Issue Description: Users can’t access the Copilot app in Microsoft Teams classic and receive an error.

Current Update: 16/01/2025 09:21:00 AM – Microsoft’s have determined that an authentication component that facilitates users’ access to the app wasn’t extended to Microsoft Teams classic, causing the observed errors and resulting in the impact. They have applied a temporary mitigation to some affected users to remediate the impact as they review options to deploy a long-term solution. They anticipate the fix deployment should begin prior to our next update, and they will provide the deployment timeline when it’s available.

Scope of impact: Organization is affected by this event, and any user attempting access to the Copilot app in Microsoft Teams classic is impacted.

Root cause: An authentication component that facilitates users’ access to the app wasn’t extended to Microsoft Teams classic.
