Issue Description: User’s searches may fail and provide no results in the Outlook desktop client and Outlook on the web.
Current Update: 17/01/2025 08:59:00 AM – Microsoft have confirmed that their code fix to trigger their automated recover service to restart infrastructure supporting search functionality and clear errors has begun its deployment to the affected environments. They still anticipate that this should allow us to achieve full remediation by the end of January 2025, and they are monitoring its progress as they assess if this resolution can be expedited.
Scope of impact: Some users attempting to perform searches in the Outlook desktop client and Outlook on the web may be intermittently impacted.
Root cause: A service memory issue is causing the infrastructure responsible for facilitating core service search to intermittently go into an unresponsive state.
