Issue Status: ONGOING

Issue Description: Users may see incorrect names and profile pictures listed in chats when using the Microsoft Teams iOS app.

More Information: While profile names and profile pictures are incorrect, the names and pictures are from users within their organization.

Impact is specific to devices that have Apple Intelligence with encryption enabled, and who are on the latest iOS version 18.1.

While they are focused on remediation, some users may be able to avoid impact by disabling Apple Intelligence for affected devices.

Current Update: 22/10/2024 08:39:00 AM – Microsoft’s analysis of the relevant service logging data has been inconclusive. They are creating a patch that will allow us to detect this issue when it occurs and gather logging data about the event to provide us more details regarding the root cause of impact that may inform their next steps.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to view chats and user profiles in the Microsoft Teams iOS version 18.1 app, and who has Apple Intelligence with Encryptions enabled may be impacted.
