Issue Description: Users can’t use the Teams Meeting add-in in Outlook after updating their Microsoft Teams desktop client.
More Information: Users who are using versions of Outlook that are older than 1.24054.1 and have updated their Microsoft Teams desktop client to a version of 24215.1007.3082.1590 or higher can’t use the Teams Meeting add-in.

Final Update: 21/10/2024 09:03:00 AM – Microsoft have validated the efficacy of the script and created a corresponding documentation page, available in the More info section above, to instruct them on how to apply the script successfully. If they are still having issues with the mitigation steps outlined in the documentation, please contact their support team.
Scope of impact: Their organization was affected by this event, and users who were using versions of Outlook older than 1.24054.1 and have updated their Microsoft Teams desktop client to a version of 24215.1007.3082.1590 that were attempting to use the Teams Meeting Outlook add-in were impacted.
Root cause: A service update intended to improve Microsoft Teams migration processes has resulted in impact to the Teams Meeting add-in.
Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing and improving their code update testing procedures based on their findings of what led to this impact as one mechanism for preventing similar issues from occurring in the future.
