Issue Description: Users are unable to utilize the “Set expiration date” feature when sharing files in Microsoft 365 apps.

Current Update: 13/09/2024 08:38:00 AM – Microsoft have recently identified and investigated an issue with the “set expiration date” feature and disabled it temporarily while they work to optimize its functionality. They are deploying a change which will collaboratively work with this feature to enhance its efficacy. After this, they will reenable the feature and restore users’ ability to set expiration dates when file sharing in Microsoft 365 apps. They will aim to provide an estimated time to resolution in their next scheduled update.

Scope of impact : Users attempting to set expiration dates when sharing files in Microsoft 365 apps are affected.

Root cause: An issue was occurring within the “set expiration date” feature, which necessitated its reversion to further optimize its efficacy.
