Issue Description: Some users may see their auto recorded Microsoft Teams meetings spoken languages set incorrectly.

More info: Incorrectly set spoken language within the auto recorded meetings may have also led to suboptimal generation of transcripts, recaps, or Copilot content.

Final Update: 13/08/2024 08:35:00 AM – Microsoft have fully deployed their fix throughout the impacted environment and confirmed impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Impact was specific to some users served through the affected infrastructure attempting to use the auto recorded Microsoft Teams meetings spoken language feature within unusually large meetings.

Root cause: An unexpected increase in requests to utilize the spoken language feature within auto recorded Teams meetings was causing timeouts due to a latent code issue within the feature, resulting in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their update testing and validation methods to better identify the potential for underlying code issues such as this prior to deployment to prevent similar impact in the future.
