Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users may be unable to access Microsoft 365 resources using the Microsoft Edge iOS application.

More info: This affects users with the latest Edge for iOS version 126.2592.117. The browser may crash on launch and if Edge is launched again, the user may be shown a UI that indicates ‘Something went wrong. Microsoft will work on that.’ and a crash report is sent. While they work on fully remediating impact, users may be able to go to the App Store and update the Edge for iOS application to version 126.2592.120 manually as a workaround.

Final Update: 29/07/2024 08:42:00 AM Microsoft have confirmed that automatic updates for the fix build version of Edge on iOS through the App Store completed as expected. Users or organizations without automatic updates enabled may need to manually update to the latest version through the App Store.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to a limited number of users, who are served through the affected infrastructure, attempting to access Microsoft 365 resources using the Microsoft Edge iOS application.

Root cause: A recent standard service update has inadvertently caused some users to encounter unexpected crashes when using the Microsoft Edge iOS application version 126.2592.117.

Next Steps: Microsoft are reviewing their Edge for iOS update testing and validation processes to ensure that similar issues impacting Microsoft 365 service access are identified prior to deployment.
