Issue Description: Users may intermittently receive no results when searching SharePoint Online sites.

More info: When affected users attempt to use the search function within SharePoint Online sites, they may intermittently receive an incomplete results page and the results never load.

Final Update: 25/04/2024 08:42:00 AM – While Microsoft were in the process of analyzing the SharePoint Online infrastructure components responsible for facilitating search queries and trying to reproduce the issue, affected users reported that the service had returned to normal health. They’ve been unable to reproduce the issue and all indications are that the issue is resolved. They’ll continue to monitor the service to ensure that the problem doesn’t happen again.

Scope of impact: Any user searching SharePoint Online sites may be intermittently impacted.

Next steps: Microsoft are monitoring service health and related telemetry to ensure that the problem doesn’t reoccur. They’re working to understand what caused the problem.
