Issue Description: Users may be unable to load specific modern SharePoint Online site pages.

Final Update: 25/04/2024 08:50:00 AM – Microsoft confirmed that a recent code change, intended to improve the news webpart feature, unexpectedly contained a regression that was preventing users from loading specific modern SharePoint Online site pages. They have reverted the change and following confirmation from some affected users, confirmed that impact is no longer occurring.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to any user who is served through the affected infrastructure attempting to load specific modern SharePoint Online site pages.

Root Cause: A recent code change, intended to improve the news webpart feature, unexpectedly contained a regression that was preventing users from loading specific modern SharePoint Online site pages.
