Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users may have intermittently been unable to create new Virtual Appointments in their Microsoft Teams calendar.

More Information: This issue impacted the Microsoft Teams desktop client and web application. Virtual Appointment creation isn’t available to users in the Team mobile app and therefore couldn’t have been used as a potential method to bypass the impact.

Final Update: 04/10/2024 08:51:00 AM – Microsoft have rerouted traffic to an alternative, healthy infrastructure, and after monitoring the service, they have verified that this action successfully resolved the issue.

Scope of impact: Impact may have occurred intermittently for some users attempting to create new Virtual Appointments in their Microsoft Teams calendar.

Root cause: An Authentication library used by the Virtual Appointment Graph API in Microsoft Teams was causing intermittent failures.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their authentication library configurations to better identify similar issues and help prevent similar problems in the future.
