Issue Description: Users are stuck in an authentication loop when attempting to access SharePoint Online pages.

Final Update: 27/03/2024 08:37:00 AM – Microsoft confirmed that an update to a portion of the authentication process introduced a misconfiguration, causing impact. They have reverted the update to restore the correct configurations and, after a period of monitoring and validating with affected users, they have observed that their actions have remediated impact.

Scope of impact: Your organization was affected by this event, and some users attempting to access SharePoint Online pages were impacted.

Root cause: A recent service change manifested an authentication configuration issue associated with impact.
