Issue Description: Users may observe failures rendering images containing a Content-ID (CID) in email within the Timeline control.

More info: As an alternative method, users can open the same email directly in the Email entity form to render images correctly.

Final Update: 12/12/2024 08:50:00 AM – Microsoft’s deployment has completed and they confirmed through their mail flow telemetry that the impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: Any users serviced by the affected infrastructure may observe failures rendering images containing a Content-ID in emails within the Timeline control.

Root cause: A recent routine service update to the Microsoft Power Apps service infrastructure responsible for rendering images using the ‘View More’ button on the timeline applied a configuration change that filters images containing a CID, resulting in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their pipeline for implementing service updates to develop methods to detect issues before updates are deployed and prevent similar impact from occurring in the future.
