Issue Description: External presenters were unable to join webinars or town halls in Microsoft Teams.

More info: Affected presenters received an error message stating, “You don’t have permissions to join this event.”

Final Update: 05/04/2024 08:35:00 AM – Microsoft identified that an issue with a recent configuration change intended to update a portion of webinar functionality in Microsoft Teams resulted in impact. To resolve this issue, they disabled the offending change and verified through service monitoring that this action successfully resolved the problem. Now that the change has been disabled for remediation, users may need to re-add external presenters for webinars or town halls that occurred from March 26, 2024, to April 4, 2024, to experience full resolution.
