Issue Description: Users may see delayed data usage insights in the Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps Governance portal.

More info: Data usage insights may be stale for up to four days.

Final Update: 08/04/2024 11:00:00 AM – Microsoft confirmed after a period of monitoring that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and some users attempting to view data usage insights in the App Governance portal may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent service update that intended to better optimize customer storage has produce an impacting code issue that has caused a subset of service infrastructure to perform below our manageable service performance thresholds, resulting in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their standard service update procedures to better identify similar issues during the development and testing cycles.
