Issue Description: Users’ automated retention policy actions intermittently may not apply as expected in Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365).

More info: This issue may intermittently impact the following automated retention policy actions:

– Triggering disposition review at the end of retention period.
– Deletion of content at the end of retention period.
– Automatic application of retention labels.
– Triggering Power Automate flows at the end of retention period.

Final Update: 05/04/2024 08:44:00 AM – Microsoft’s investigation is complete, and they have determined the service is healthy. A service incident did not actually occur.

Scope of impact: Any user’s automated retention policy actions may intermittently not apply as expected in Copilot.

Root cause: A recent update to a component of Microsoft 365 infrastructure responsible for executing automated retention policy actions introduced a code regression that’s leading to impact.
