Issue Description: Users may hear an echo if embedded audio is enabled when using PowerPoint Live in the new Microsoft Teams.

Impact only occurs if a Mac user is present and unmuted in the presentation.

To avoid this issue, use the Share button within Teams to share the presentation, and make sure to enable the “Include sound” option.

Current Update: 15/04/2024 09:04:00 AM – Microsoft are continuing the development of their fix, which is taking some time due to the complexity of the issue. They will share an expected timeline for its validation and deployment once available.

Scope of impact: Any user may be impacted when joining a PowerPoint Live presentation that has embedded audio enabled and has a Mac user who is both unmuted and on the new Microsoft Teams clients.

Root cause: A compatibility issue was introduced with a previous service update to disable the loopback driver in PowerPoint Live to resolve an unrelated issue, which is causing users to hear an echo in embedded audio is enabled when a Mac user is present.
