Issue Description: Users’ quarantine notifications aren’t being received in their configured mailbox language in Exchange Online.
More info: Affected users may incorrectly see that all quarantine notifications are being received in English when their mailbox has a different language configured.
Final Update: 16/04/2024 09:15:00 AM – Deployment of the fix is complete, and Microsoft have monitored service health telemetry to confirm that quarantine notifications are now received in the correct language and impact is remediated.
Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users with quarantine notifications enabled who are served through the affected infrastructure.
Root cause: A recent standard service update inadvertently contains a code regression, which is resulting in impact.
Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their Exchange Online update procedures pertaining to the code base responsible for identifying users” language configurations to prevent similar impact in future updates.
