Issue Description: Users may experience files and media showing as not supported, when uploading in webparts within SharePoint Online.

More Info: Some users may see the following error message: ‘This doesn’t seem like a supported image file. Please select a different image’.

As a workaround, users can ignore the error and proceed with the upload; the error message stating the image doesn’t seem supported is appearing incorrectly.

Final Update: 28/02/2024 09:10:00 AM – Microsoft finished the deployment of their fix and confirmed impact was successfully resolved.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure.

Root cause: A recent code change meant to optimize the webpart upload process has caused a timing issue that supplies an uploaded files current state before the service is ready to process it, resulting in impact
