Issue Status: RESOLVED

Issue Description: Users intermittently may be unable to access the Files tab in Microsoft Teams classic.

More Info: Affected users may see the following error message, “There was a problem reaching this app”.

Impact is specific to the desktop client, Microsoft Teams web app works as expected.

Final Update: 19/02/2024 08:45:00 AM – Microsoft have completed their revert and confirmed via service health telemetry that the issue was successfully remediated.

Scope of impact: Some users on the Microsoft Teams classic desktop client are intermittently impacted.

Root cause: A recent deployment to improve cache in Microsoft Teams classic desktop client introduced a compatibility issue and was preventing some users from intermittently accessing the Files tab as expected.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing their change testing and validation procedures to identify opportunities to improve impact detection before deployment.
