Harbourne Portal Release – Audio Conferencing Issue

07/02/2024 08:05:00 AM

Please be aware that we have identified an issue causing the unexpected removal of Audio Conferencing. This issue occurs when a change or update is made to a User Policy utilising the Dial-in Add-on License type and impacts all users within that policy. Impacted users will have received a notification message stating “Audio Conferencing for Microsoft Teams has been turned off”.

Engineers working to identify the cause of the issue have determined that the permanent fix will require a change to the Portal code set – the Hawkins Portal Release is currently being targeted to deliver this fix. In the interim, we have developed a solution to minimise disruption by automatically re-applying Audio Conferencing where it is incorrectly removed. A first pass of this solution has been completed and this job has now been scheduled to run regularly throughout the day at short intervals.

Users impacted by this bug may intermittently find they are unable to join an Audio Conferencing meeting, and may be unable to create a meeting invite containing audio conference dial-in details until they have been re-enabled. Given this bug only occurs when an update is made to the user policy the user is assigned to, it is expected that this will occur infrequently.

Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we work to mitigate this issue.
