Issue Description: Users with reports connected to streaming datasets may experience issues when loading data within Microsoft Power BI

Final Update: 17/01/2024 08:44:00 AM – Microsoft completed the deployment of their fix and confirmed through the internal telemetry that impact has been successfully resolved throughout the remaining impacted environments.

Scope of impact: Your organization is affected by this event, and some users with reports connected to streaming datasets may experience issues when loading data within Microsoft Power BI.

Root cause: A recent service update intending to improve our network formatting produced an initialization failure, which was preventing some users from loading report data that was connected to streaming datasets within Microsoft Power BI.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing our update testing and validation methods to better identify the potential for issues such as this prior to deployment and better prevent similar impact in the future.
