Issue Description: Users may have seen intermittent email message delays or been unable to access the Exchange Online service.
Final Update: 02/01/2024 13:52:00 PM – Microsoft confirmed that after a period of monitoring the environment, that service has been restored and impact is no longer occurring.
Scope of impact: Impact is specific to users who are served through the affected infrastructure.
Root Cause: A section of infrastructure, responsible for facilitating email message delivery and access to the Exchange Online service, was unexpectedly performing below acceptable performance thresholds.
