Issue Description: Users may be unable to select mega menu options within modern SharePoint Online sites.

Final Update: 22/12/2023 08:50:00 AM – Following Microsoft’s reversion of the offending service change, their internal telemetry has confirmed that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact: Any user attempting to select options within the mega menu on modern SharePoint Online sites may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent service update that intended to improve consistency for SharePoint Online modern site menu navigation introduced an impacting code issue.
