Issue Description: Users with automated syncing enabled in OneDrive for Business may see duplicate shortcut icons on their Windows desktop.
More Info: Other non-Windows operating systems and devices are unaffected.
Final Update: 20/10/2023 08:40:00 AM – Microsoft have deployed a fix to address this issue and recommended that affected users update to the latest version of Microsoft Edge (version 118 or newer) and then select and delete the duplicate shortcuts to fully remediate the issue. In the event impact persists, please contact one of their support representatives so they can continue their investigation into the problem.

Root cause: An update to the Microsoft Edge browser introduced a code issue that”s causing Microsoft Edge desktop shortcuts to duplicate when an automated sync with OneDrive for Business occurs, leading to impact.
