Final Update: 31/10/2023 08:45:00 AM – Microsoft have confirmed that reverting the offending change has successfully remediated the impact.

Scope of impact: Users serviced by Microsoft Teams are impacted by this event.

Root cause: A recent change to a dependency service contains a code regression which is resulting in impact.

Next steps: Microsoft are reviewing the impacting change to understand why the code issue that impacted shared channel restoration wasn’t caught in their testing and validation cycles to prevent similar impact from reoccurring.
