Issue Description : Users may have been unable to enroll Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices and receive an error on failure.
More info : When Windows enrollment failures occurred, users received an error message that stated “There was a problem authenticating your account or device. Try again or contact your system administrator with the error code 80180002.” or “We couldn’t auto-discover a management endpoint matching the user entered.”
Final Update : 03/10/2023 09:22:00 AM – Microsoft completed their rollback of the change to utilize new service infrastructure for processing device enrollments and confirmed this has successfully remediated impact.
Scope of impact : This issue may have impacted any user attempting to enroll Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.
Root cause : A recent change to utilize new service infrastructure for processing device enrollments resulted in errors occurring when users attempted enrollment in specific instances.
