Issue Status : RESOLVED

Issue Description : Users are seeing a ‘generic’ icon when attempting to utilize Promoted Links lists.

More info : Users are still able to access the files as expected; however, users won’t see the correct icon.

Final Update : 19/09/2023 08:40:00 AM – The fix deployment has completed, and Microsoft have confirmed via monitoring and previously affected customer reports that impact has been remediated.

Scope of impact : Some users attempting to open files in Microsoft Word for the web may be intermittently impacted.

Next steps : To help prevent similar impact in the future, Microsoft are further reviewing their update release procedures to catch code regressions before deployment.
