Issue Description: We are aware of an issue affecting users signing into the NHSmail Portal using their Smartcards. Engineers are currently investigating this issue and apologise for any inconvenience.
Users can sign-in using other authentication methods such as the authenticator app, which will gain access to your account in the NHSmail Portal.
Final update: 13/09/2023 11:30:00 AM – Engineers have identified the cause of the issue and taken the appropriate action. A certificate expiration has been identified as the root cause and process steps are being reviewed to prevent items such as this from happening in the future. We apologise for an inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience whilst we worked to resolve the issue.
