NHSmail Reference : INC37418683
Microsoft Reference : SP663712
Issue Status : RESOLVED
Issue Description : Users may be unable to view shared folders as expected on the latest UX version in SharePoint Online.
More info : Users on the latest targeted release version of SharePoint Online may be unable to see the folder icon for shared folders or preview the contents of shared folders. Additionally, affected users may be unable to see the expected results when filtering by folder.
Final Update : 07/08/2023 08:56:00 AM – Following Microsoft’s testing with affected users, they have validated that the fix deployment has addressed the property configuration problem and remediated the impact.
Scope of impact : Users who do not have English designated as their default language and are attempting to view folders shared with them on the latest targeted release version of SharePoint Online are impacted.
Root cause : A latent folder property configuration issue is preventing users with their default language not set to English from viewing shared folders as expected on the latest UX version in SharePoint Online.
Next steps : Microsoft are further analyzing the folder property configuration issue to better understand why it resulted in impact and so we can help prevent similar problems before they can result in impact.
